Harn character - Lady Illeana Thimarc
History:
Illeana was born the second child of Sir Jonderiss
Thimarc of Uldien and his wife Veleana. Both she and Illenor, her older
brother of two years, were loved by by their parents and were raised to
follow in their parents footsteps with Illenor destined for knighthood
and Illeana to be taught the virtues of a gentlewoman. Jonderiss
was in the employ of Baron Pierstel, alternately serving as
administrator for the village of Wybend and acting as a soldier in
Tonot. In 711, Illenor was trampled by a warhorse in a riding accident
and was badly injured. As a result, he was paralyzed on on his right
side. Jonderiss, determined to raise a knight, decide to squire Illeana
and train her as a knight. His friend Sir Palthoa of Kadail agreed to
accept Illeana as a squire in 712. For seven years, Illeana lived in
Lythgran in central Kaldor and acted as squire to Sir Palthoa. In 718,
she performaned beyond expectation at the tournament at Olokand. The
next year, she was knighted and was sent to the kingdom of Kanday to
escort an important item being sent to Baron Pierstel.
Description:
Illeana strikes an impressive figure among some
and imposing figure among most. She is tall at 6' and solid at 200 lb.
Her muscles show through most fabric like the knotted roots of a tree,
making her armour appear weak in comparison.
Timeline:
- Illeana is born on Nolus 8, 701.
- In 711, at the age of 10, Illeana's brother Illenor is paralyzed
in a riding accident. Jonderiss, Illeana's father, decides to train her
as a knight since Illenor cannot carry on the title and duties.
- In 712, at the age of 11, Illeana was squired to Palthoa of Kadail,
a knight (and friend of Jonderiss) in the employ of Sir Dagald of
Jendral, constable of Fisen.
- In 718, at the age of 17, Illeana proved her martial skills by
performing well at the tournament in Olokand.
- In 719, at the age of 18, Illeana is knighted. She is then asked
by Baron Pierstel to travel to Heroth, Kanday to escort Melonadi of Hebon
(and a mysterious, apparently very important box) back to Tashal.
- In 720, at the age of 19, Illeana and Melonadi join the spring
caravan on the Salt Route to return to Kaldor.
